DOWNLOAD v 0.6.2.150
New in v.0.6.2.150
- Added a configuration option to allow you to specify folders other than
the default Clock Wheel folders for storing your playlists and sessions (templates).
- Added an .ini file so the app will REMEMBER the above mentioned user-specified
directories.
- Removed the List Checker feature and merged it with the List Builder. Now
you don't have to remember to check your lists for errors before you build
new ones. The app automatically goes through each playlist and removes extra
Winamp info and adds drive letters to filenames that don't have them. This
really should have been an automatic thing anyway.
- Fixed a tiny error in the way the ListChecker handled Winamp playlists that
pertained to MP3's stored in the root directory of a drive.
- Removed a line of code that *may* have been producing some of the error
messages some of you were receiving.
New in v.0.6.1.150
- Stronger compatibility with Winamp playlists. Now a playlist generated in
Winamp will function fully with the Clock Wheel. You must first run the playlist
through the List Checker to make it compatible. The List Checker will automatically
append drive letters to the beginning of MP3 filenames if they're not already
there.
- More user configurable options:
- Specify how much of the current playlist the Clock Wheel should keep
track of when checking for duplicate artists. Whether you want to keep
the same artist from playing in the last hour or the last 12 hours, you
can do it.
- Specify whether or not the Clock Wheel should keep from playing two
songs from the same genre back to back. Have a more diverse playlist by
keeping the style of music different from song to song!
- Save playlist to text option: Now you can also save a text version of your
final playlist. The text version displays artist and title information and
song start time within the playlist. It also breaks the playlist down into
hour segments so you can visually see what each hour looks like.
- All user cinfgurable options can be saved to each session. Now when you
auto schedule the building of playlists the Clock Wheel will remember your
settings for duplicate artist checks, genre checks, and whether or not you
wanted to save the playlist as a text file.
- New neat and tidy interface. Looks a little more professional.
New in v.0.5.1.150
- Added Dupe Checker - as your new playlist builds the songs are constantly
referenced against the last 3 hours of songs played. If a duplicate is found
a suitable replacement is found and used instead. Now your playlists can be
fully DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) compatible.
- Added List Creator - navigate your folders and quickly make basic master
playlists. Great for organizing your playlists when you move files around.
Just find your "oldies" folder (or whatever folder you want) and
click the save button - all the MP3's in that folder will be saved to a new
playlist.
- More blind friendly - you can navigate the entire application using just
your keyboard. Thanks to Steve Wolf at Wolf FM for his input and support with
this.
- Minimizes to system tray now to keep your task bar clear.
- Faster shuffle algorithm. It was a waste of time to shuffle a list of 10
items 3000 times.
- Minor GUI enhancements. You may notice, you may not.
New in v.0.4.1.132
- Brand new attractive interface - no more boring greys!
- Removed the ugly tabs on the pages and replaced them with nice buttons.
- New smoother progress meters so you can really see how the progress is going.
- Modified the shuffle algorithm - Instead of shuffling each list 3 times
it only shuffles each one once. If a playlist has fewer than 1000 titles in
it, the shuffler will randomly swap the positions of two files 3000 times.
If a list has more than 1000 titles in it, the shuffler will randomly swap
the positions of two titles 3 times the number of files in the list. For example,
if the list has 2000 titles, the shuffler will swap positions of two randomly
selected songs 6000 times.
- Fixed the inability to see long filenames. Before, if a playlist was buried
deep within several directories you wouldn't be able to see the entire filename
in the windows. Now you can slide all windows left or right to allow you to
see the entire window contents
- Now you can set exactly what time you want your playlists to build every
night instead of being forced to automate at midnight.
- New "Have a Nice Day" button. It's really an exit button but sends
you off with a nice message.
New in v.0.3.1.72
- Added new installer so the program knows where your files are stored and
can store its own config information
- Added Demo sessions and MP3's in the full version. You can load the demo
and see it perform a basic playlist build.
- Added a List Checker feature. Now if you have problems bilding a list you
can check your playlists' contents and find the bad MP3's making the program
choke
- Added a "Run Now!" button so you don't have to wait until midnight
for your schedule to auto build.
- Added nifty Splash Screen. I bet it gets annoying after a few runs. Maybe
I'll take it out. Sure looks cool though.
- The top 2 windows on the "Build Template window are now draggable.
I found that if you install this program buried deep in a directory somewhere
the file names get so long you can't see them in the boxes. Now you can drag
the window a bit and it lifts off of the page so you can resize it and move
it around. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get it to sit back down...
New in v.0.2.1:
- Added ability to schedule automated playlist building!
- Cue up all of your saved sessions
- Start the automation
- All sessions loaded into the scheduler window will build at midnight
- Fixed "duration of playlist" calculation.
- Fixed another small math bug that caused the program to reshuffle a list
before it reached the end.
- Now the program checks to see if files exist before writing to or reading
from them.
- Cleaned up a lot of code (just makes it prettier, don't know if it helps
in the actual processing).
To do list:
- Make windows dockable again once you drag them out of their original spots.
- Enhance the scheduling feature to allow different playlists to be bilt on
different days.
- Set the Priority thread lower so the program doesn't hog your CPU when shuffling
lists.
- Make it look nice. Right now it is functional but not very attractive.
- Port it to SAM as a plugin.
